Pragmatic Play uses five reels, four rows and 1,024 ways to win. Matching symbols connect across neighbouring reels from the left, and the premium Queen can stack across the reels. She is a paying symbol; the wild is a separate character in the paytable.

Mermaid's Diamond pays from either side of a grid that grows taller towards the middle. Its 720 ways include both directions. The unusual frame gives Play'n GO's underwater kingdom a little more room to spread out.
Two or more mermaid wilds on the same reel expand to fill it. You can then follow the resulting combinations from either outside reel, which makes the position of those mermaids worth noticing. The random Trident Wilds feature can add wilds to one or two reels during ordinary play.
Five treasure-chest scatters, one on each reel, lead to a choice of chests awarding ten, twelve, fifteen, twenty or twenty-five free spins. On a losing base-game spin with four scatters, Divine Intervention may add the missing fifth. Apparently even the gods occasionally look at a set of reels and decide it could do with a small adjustment.

Into the top five, and briefly back above the surface. Atlantis Crush looks across turquoise sea towards a tropical island, though the machinery inside its temple-shaped frame is less restful than the view.
Relax Gaming splits the five-by-five board into two jobs. The bottom three rows contain paying symbols and wilds; the top two contain feature blocks. Four matching ordinary symbols anywhere in the paying area form a win. They do not need to sit on a line or touch one another.
Winning symbols disappear and replacements fall. Wins below can activate blocks above, setting off effects that clear symbols or trigger other blocks. Row, column and corner effects give you different demolition patterns, while multiplier blocks add to the round's multiplier. It is an ambitious amount of building work to conduct over somebody's holiday.
Clear every feature block in a single cascade and the remaining blocks for that round are restricted to multiplier, bonus and gem types. That gives a continuing cascade sequence a different mix of effects to work with.
The bonus trigger is activation. At least three Bonus Blocks must activate during the same paid round; their values determine the number of free spins. Merely seeing three bonus blocks waiting at the top is not enough.
The multiplier from the triggering round carries into free spins and remains between them. That is the detail to remember when following a long chain reaction. Bonus Blocks activated during those free spins do not add extra spins, so their presence should not be read as a retrigger.

Eye of the Kraken fits a surprising amount of trouble around three reels. Its little three-by-three board has eight fixed paylines, plus special awards for matching the four corners or the middle positions on all four sides. The submarine clearly has limited space, but somebody has made excellent use of it.
Play'n GO sends a crew of sailors into the depths to recover treasure guarded by the Kraken. Tentacles can randomly turn ordinary symbols wild, changing the shape of a spin without introducing a larger board. Diving gear and torpedoes do more than decorate the adventure.
There are two separate bonus routes. Five diving helmets on a single spin start Dive Mode, with nine free spins. The blue Eye of the Kraken becomes the wild, while treasure-chest scatters add their own prizes. This free-spin feature cannot retrigger.

Our top three begins with an octopus that has acquired four different ways of opening a treasure chest. Eight arms probably help. Octopus Treasure places that busy creature beside a familiar five-reel, twenty-line game, then gives its keys several useful jobs.
A key on the middle reel works with the chest to start one of four features. They are worth distinguishing, because the same animation around the chest can lead to quite different changes on the reels.
