How to play
The game set-up is pretty straightforward.
The reels sit in the centre, with a 3, 4, 4, 4, 3 set up at the start of the game (there are 576 ways to win).
The spin button sits to the right of the reels with the auto spin and turbo spin features below it. They are over the balance figure.
Information, wins, and so on, are relayed in the centre of the screen and to the left of the reels are the bet control (tap or click to open a simple amount selector) next to the main sound control and a three-dot menu button. Click or tap that sees a choice of the pay-table, game history, and other settings.
Above that is a feature buy option. Feature buys aren’t usually legal in the UK so you may not see this in paid-for UK gameplay. Likewise, autoplay and turbo play features are about to be ruled out of order by the UK Gaming Commission.

The Features
There’s a big range of features in this game, starting with:
Hunter Wild, which is a four-row-high wild that can appear on the central three reels, and which will nudge into full view wherever it lands. This wild bumps up the multiplier for wins by one and multiple multipliers are added together to hit some really big wins. As usually, it subs in for everything apart from scatter and other bonus symbols.
The Shoot Out Feature. These are triggered with the Sherriff’s Badge. See one of those on each end reel and the low paying symbols in the central three reels will convert to wilds.

The Verdict
This is a very high-quality game and one that should appeal to those outside the usual fan base for western games. Something about this period in history seems to bring out the storyteller in slots designers – they must have watched too many old films when they were kids, like me – and so we get quite a rich experience with beautifully drawn characters.
