Le Bandit Slot Review
I’ll be honest – I’m a bit of a fan of the series. I’ve seen Smokey (slot‘s main character) take on different roles across different titles. Which, of course, I tried out.
When it comes to Le Bandit, I’ve figured out that it went straight to my “play first, review later” list. So here I am (years after its release), finally reviewing it properly.
If you haven’t played this slot yet, you’re probably already curious.
How It Really Felt in the First Few Spins
First, did you know that those first spins can tell you more than the paytable ever will?
Ok, so Le Bandit felt steady, at first. But watchful. Small wins did land early on, but nothing wild. The base game made it pretty clear that this slot warms up a bit before it gets to bite you.
All in all, this is how it went for me:
- Small to mid wins popped up pretty frequently.
- Dry spells were there, but they didn’t dominate too early.
- My bankroll got a bit of breathing room (especially when I kept my stakes low).
Did I Like the Whole Theme, Design & Vibe Thing?
I’ll admit it. Yes, I did like it.
Tbh, I always have high expectations when playing something from Hacksaw, and it never disappoints.
In Le Bandit, it’s the other side of Paris where Smokey, the raccoon, stalks the streets with a crowbar. Ah, that raccoon… funny as always.
It’s not your casual slot, and it shows.
What Wins Looked Like
Most wins were pretty small, with the occasional big drop that did its best to move my balance. Obviously, that’s when bonuses triggered. Otherwise, it’s mostly small wins here and there.
Just so you know, this slot has a pretty good hit frequency, at least compared to other slots I played.
How the Dry Stretches Played Out
Well, yeah, there were noticeable dry spells, when nothing much happened. A bit frustrating, but that’s what you get in a medium-volatility slot. At least, the return rate is way above the industry’s average.
FYI: This slot can have different RTPs (return rates), depending on the casino. Make sure to check the slot’s info box before you play.
Did Bonuses Change the Game?
They did for me. Not saying they turned the session around, but it was much more fun. Besides, that’s where I finally landed some bigger wins. Rare, but big.
If you’re anything like me and would like to know what to expect from a slot in advance, here it is:
Super Cascades
I’m sure you know the drill. All regulars from a winning combo vanish and make way for new symbols. This can potentially lead to snowballs and possibly, more wins.
The thing I liked, which is different here, is that it’s not only the winning symbols that vanish, but also all the matching symbols on the reels.
This process could go on and on.
Golden Squares
I was confused at first, too.
Once you hit a winning combo, you can see every single position get highlighted with a Golden Square. If you land a Rainbow on that spin, all Golden Squares will get activated.
As a result, all positions in question get a coin value, from Bronze to Gold, or one of the two special symbols – Four-Leaf Clover or Pot of Gold.
Good to know: Coin values can get from 0.2x to 500x, while Clovers can multiply adjacent cells by 2x – 10x. All this time, Pots of Gold collect values from Coins before displaying the total multiplier.
Luck of the Bandit Bonus
For this, I needed 3 FS symbols in the base game. And just like this, I activated bonus games.
The good news is that you can retrigger this feature by landing extra FS symbols.
FYI: If you can land 4 FS symbols, you’ll get direct access to All That Glitters Is Gold bonus. This means you win your current free spins by default and an extra 4 spins into the next feature.
All That Glitters Is Gold Bonus
This bonus kicks off with 12 free spins.
During it, all Golden Squares stay highlighted and can be reactivated, again and again. Just keep an eye on Rainbows – you need them to capitalise Golden Squares.
Can you retrigger it? Sure.
Treasure at the End of the Rainbow Bonus
Oh, those long bonus names. So Hacksaw-like.
Seems to me they left the best for last. If you land 5 FS during the base game, you’ll enter Le Bandit’s main bonus game with 12 free spins.
What’s different here?
All highlighted squares stay this way all the way through, while Rainbows are 100% guaranteed to land on EVERY SINGLE SPIN.
Just so you know, you can’t buy this bonus, compared to others.
Bonus Buy
But you can get instant access to free spins through the Buy Bonus button on screen, by turning day into night.
BonusHunt FeatureSpins
This gives you 5x improved odds at triggering a free spin in exchange for a 3x-your-stake fee.
Did the Bet Range Feel Comfy?
Pretty much. You can bet as low as £0.10 or as high as £100 – fits just any player’s style.
I’ve been reviewing slots for years, and guess what – I’m still keeping my bets low. Smart play over reckless betting, I guess.
Can You Really Win 10,000x?
Theoretically, yes.
Realistically, nope. Sorry, guys, but I’m not gonna pretend like it’s possible. Anyone who’s been playing slots for a while knows that such a number is marketing stuff.
From my playtime: One hour of play with a min stake across roughly 500 spins made me wager £50-ish in total. I experienced small feature wins and finished slightly up, with no more than £30 in profit.
And that’s a common outcome. You might as well end up with less than you started with or get an even better session (if bonuses go your way).
That’s the thing. You never know.
But anything over £300 is not realistically possible to hit in a single hour. Let alone 10,000x.
Top-Rated UK Casinos with Le Bandit
Won’t be wrong to tell you that you can find this slot almost everywhere online, but sure, here are a few options I’d recommend:
What I’d Say Before You Try It
Go in chill, manage your stakes, and don’t you dare set any expectations at all.
But seriously, guys, Le Bandit is one of those slots I’d add to my list of faves. Besides having a great return rate, it also has medium volatility, which means you’ll hit more frequent small wins till those big prizes show up. It’s not all or nothing.
But you know the saying. It’s usually slots like this that make you think they’re so easy to play and rewarding that you lose your guard. That’s why you should set a clear budget ahead, keep your stakes low, and not chase that max win but focus on bonuses.
Too long, no win? Walk away, really.
Let me know which slot I should review next.
