About Eyecon
Eyecon is an Australian developer with a very British connection: bingo. Fluffy Favourites has been doing the rounds on UK bingo sites for years, so you may recognise those pink elephants before you recognise the company name.
Perhaps you're here for another Fluffy Favourites game. Perhaps you've had quite enough of pink elephants. Eyecon caters for both, with older five-reel slots, picking bonuses and newer games that move beyond fixed paylines.
From Brisbane to Playtech
Scott Murray founded Eyecon in Brisbane in 1997. The company initially made computer games before moving into online casino games two years later. Temple of Iris followed in 2003, then Fluffy Favourites in 2006.
Playtech bought Eyecon in 2017, but the Eyecon name stayed on the games. The company was already closely associated with UK bingo sites, where Fluffy Favourites had built its audience.
Fluffy Favourites later became a theme for bingo rooms too, and the original slot was shortlisted for Legacy Slot Title at the 2024 CasinoBeats Game Developer Awards.
Eyecon and Playtech games
You may recognise a few Eyecon titles from Playtech's older games. The original Clover Rollover was a Playtech release from 2008; Eyecon made Clover Rollover 2 in 2020. Bouncy Balls 2 is another Eyecon sequel to a Playtech game.
These names can be confusing when you're looking for a game you remember. Clover Rollover and Clover Rollover 2 are separate releases, and the same goes for Bouncy Balls and Bouncy Balls 2. The full title and developer name help you find the right one.
What Are Eyecon Slots Like?
Five reels, 25 paylines and a free-games round turn up repeatedly in Eyecon's older slots. There are picking bonuses too, where you reveal prizes rather than let the reels run through the whole feature. You can get to know one game and recognise quite a bit of the next.
Temple of Iris and Shaman's Dream use a lot of the same ideas. Both have wilds that double wins and free games that triple them. A new theme isn't enough for me.
Bouncy Balls 2 offers a bigger change, with clusters on a growing grid. Stampede keeps the reels but offers 243 ways to win and a choice of free-games packages. Eyecon has experimented beyond the older format, even if Fluffy Favourites tends to get the attention.
RTP and volatility
The same Eyecon slot can have a different RTP at different casinos. Fluffy Favourites, for example, comes in 93% and 95% versions. The game's help menu tells you which one you've opened.
A 95% RTP doesn't promise £95 back from £100 in total stakes. It's a theoretical average over a huge number of plays; your results in any one session can be very different.
Volatility is a separate question: how much can the results swing? Eyecon's catalogue includes low-, medium- and high-volatility games, so there's no single answer for the whole developer. High volatility means bigger ups and downs. It doesn't mean a big win is on the way.
Playing on your phone
Eyecon slots run in your phone's browser, so you can open them through a casino's mobile website. You don't need a separate download for each game. A casino app is another option if it includes the Eyecon titles you want.
Eyecon jackpot slots
If you're after an Eyecon jackpot slot, Clover Rollover 2 has three progressive prizes: Mini, Maxi and Mega. The main game has five reels and five paylines, with clovers, pots of gold and a barmaid among the symbols.
The jackpot amounts build up before being won, rather than staying at a fixed value. That's the progressive part of the game.
Eyecon Slots to Try
Fluffy Favourites
Game Information
Fluffy Favourites first appeared in 2006. This is the original, with 25 paylines, a claw-machine picking bonus called Toybox and a separate free-games round triggered by pink elephants. Line wins are tripled during the free games.
I have a soft spot for that claw-machine idea. Choosing a toy to reveal a prize fits the fairground theme, right down to the machine you use to pick it.
Stampede
Game Information
Stampede has an African wildlife theme and 243 ways to win. When the bonus starts, would you rather have 20 spins at 2x or five at 10x? Those are the extremes of the five packages you can choose from. The options in between are 15 spins at 3x, ten at 4x and eight at 5x.
Shaman's Dream
Game Information
Shaman's Dream has 25 paylines. Dreamcatchers trigger 15 free games with tripled prizes, while the wolf wild doubles winning combinations it helps complete.
It also reached the shortlist for Best Slot Game at the 2024 WhichBingo Awards.
Bouncy Balls 2
Game Information
Groups of five or more matching symbols pay when they connect horizontally or vertically on a 5x5 grid. They then disappear, and the replacements can form further wins. During free games, Powerup Balls can expand the board to 6x6, then 7x7 and finally 8x8. You get one spin on the 8x8 board, including any cascades, before returning to the main game.
Temple of Iris
Game Information
Eyecon was making Egyptian slots back in 2003, when Temple of Iris arrived. This 25-line game has pyramids that trigger free games with tripled prizes, and a priestess wild that doubles winning combinations she helps complete.
Irish Luck
Game Information
In Eyecon's Irish Luck, leprechauns trigger Prize Pick, while fairies open Match & Win. Prize Pick can award a cash prize or free games; Match & Win asks you to uncover matching clovers. Just watch the developer name: Playtech also has an Irish Luck, but that game has 30 variable paylines. Eyecon's version has 25. Apparently one game full of leprechauns wasn't enough.
Which Fluffy Favourites Version Should You Try?
There are several Fluffy Favourites games, and the names alone don't explain how much has changed. Remastered, Megaways and Mix 'n' Win all return to the fairground, but the differences go beyond a new picture in the casino lobby.
Already fond of the original? Remastered is the closer match. Eyecon released it for the game's 15th anniversary, updating the artwork while keeping the five reels, 25 paylines, Toybox bonus and pink-elephant free games.
Megaways plays differently. Six reels hold varying numbers of symbols, so the ways to win change from spin to spin. Winning symbols can disappear and leave room for replacements. Further wins continue the cascade and increase the multiplier. The claw also works differently here: it acts as a wild on the extra reel above the main reels and can collect a multiplier when it helps make a win. That's quite a departure from choosing toys in the original bonus.
Mix 'n' Win takes another route. It keeps the 25-line layout but lets you choose a mix of picking bonuses alongside the free games. Grab-a-Fluffy uses the claw machine; Coin Pusher and Hook-a-Fluffy bring in other fairground games. Each has its own trigger symbols.
I'd choose Mix 'n' Win for the extra picking rounds. The original's Toybox is part of the appeal for me, so having a coin-pusher and hook game as well is a good reason to try another edition. For a change to the reels themselves, there's Megaways.
Does Eyecon Make Anything Besides Slots?
Yes. Alongside the slots, you can find Eyecon scratchcards and table games. That gives you an alternative if you'd rather reveal a prize or play a card game than spin reels.
The scratchcards work much like their paper counterparts: you uncover panels to see whether you've won. Noughts & Crosses uses three matching symbols in a row. You can reveal the squares yourself or use the prize panel to finish revealing the card.
You'll also find HitMe! Baccarat, a variation on the card game, in Eyecon's catalogue.
What about Slingo Fluffy Favourites?
Fluffy Favourites also comes as a Slingo game. Gaming Realms made this version using Eyecon's characters and fairground theme, so it's a separate game from the Eyecon slots.
Here, you match numbers from a reel to a grid and complete lines, called Slingos, to reach bonus games. Toybox, Coin Pusher and Hook-a-Fluffy are among the fairground features. The theme carries over, but matching numbers takes the place of lining up slot symbols.
Finding Eyecon Casinos in the UK
Have an Eyecon game in mind? Browse our recommended UK Eyecon casinos to find somewhere to play, with current welcome offers and reviews to help you compare.
Look for the full game title before opening an account. A casino offering Fluffy Favourites may not have the Megaways edition.
Once you've found the game, compare payment options, withdrawal conditions and the terms attached to any offer. Or stay with the free demos here if you're still deciding which Eyecon games you enjoy.
FAQ
Can I try Eyecon games for free?
Eyecon offers free demos using virtual credits. You can try the features, but demo winnings have no cash value and can't be withdrawn. A demo's settings may also differ from those at a casino.
Are the Fluffy Favourites versions the same game?
No. Eyecon made the original Fluffy Favourites, but later editions can play differently. Remastered keeps the original reel layout and bonuses with updated artwork. Megaways changes the reels and adds cascading wins, so it isn't simply a visual refresh.
Can I play Eyecon games on my phone?
Yes. Eyecon's games support mobile browsers, so you can open available titles through a casino's mobile website without downloading each game. A casino app is another option if it includes the Eyecon games you want.
Do Eyecon slots have the same RTP at every casino?
Not necessarily. Eyecon supplies different RTP versions of some slots, including Fluffy Favourites. Check the help screen in the game you've opened rather than assuming a demo or another casino uses the same setting. RTP is a long-run average, not a promise for your session.
Does Eyecon make anything besides slots?
Yes. Eyecon also makes scratchcards and table games. Noughts & Crosses is an instant-win scratchcard, while HitMe! Baccarat is a card game. They offer different ways to play from the reels and picking bonuses in Eyecon's slots.
