Low stakes blackjack starts at 10p a hand, with 20p, 50p and £1 bets giving you plenty of room between a free demo and a high-limit table. You still make the same hit, stand, split and double decisions. The difference is the amount attached to each hand.
For a straightforward 10p game, Genting lists Blackjack Basic and Blackjack Link. Betfred's £1 Blackjack is another clear entry point, alongside its wider selection of Playtech table games. Below, we compare those options, explore the four software ranges behind this guide and explain how small stakes work with deposits, side bets and bonuses.
Where to Play Low Stakes Blackjack
These are specific games from our current casino shortlist. The minimum shown is the opening bet on one hand, rather than the deposit needed to fund an account.
| Casino | Game | Minimum hand | Why choose it? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Genting Casino | Blackjack Basic by Edict | 10p | A straightforward digital table with 3:2 blackjack payouts and a published 99.44% RTP. |
| Genting Casino | Blackjack Link by Playtech | 10p | Another named 10p option in the same casino, for players who want to compare table formats. |
| Betfred Casino | Betfred £1 Blackjack | £1 | A virtual multiplayer table with optional 21+3 and Perfect Pair side bets. Its main-hand range is £1–£50. |
Betfred also lists Premium Blackjack, Premium Blackjack Single Hand, All Bets Blackjack, Perfect Blackjack and Blackjack Surrender. These are separate games from the £1 table, with their own betting controls.

4 Low Stakes Blackjack Software Ranges
NetEnt, Relax's distribution network, Playtech and 1X2gaming offer quite different takes on small-stakes blackjack. The low-limit editions covered here include 10p games, but a provider's name alone does not identify the rules or stake level: Classic, Professional, live-dealer and newer releases can be different products.
1. NetEnt Low Limit Blackjack

NetEnt's low-limit range covers conventional blackjack, an optional Jack-based side bet, Double Exposure and Pontoon. There is more to the choice than a different table colour.
Classic Low Limit Blackjack
The Classic Low Limit edition starts at £0.10 and uses four standard 52-card decks. A natural blackjack pays 3:2, while the separate insurance bet pays 2:1 when the dealer has blackjack.
You can split a qualifying pair once. Doubling gives you one further card, and doubling after a split is allowed except on split aces. The listed theoretical RTP for this Classic Low Limit edition is 99.65%.
At a 10p stake, an ordinary 1:1 win makes 10p profit and a 3:2 blackjack makes 15p profit, with the original stake returned as well. That is the same payout structure as a larger bet on the same table.
Professional Series Low Limit
Professional Series lets you play up to three hands and adds the optional Double Jack side bet. It pays when your first card is a Jack, with larger prizes for two Jacks and the top combination of two Jacks of spades. The side bet is placed separately from your blackjack hand.
One 10p hand plus a 10p Double Jack bet costs 20p for the initial deal. Playing three 10p hands costs 30p before adding side bets, splits or doubles.
Double Exposure Professional Series
Both of the dealer's starting cards are face up in Double Exposure, so you make decisions with more information than in ordinary blackjack. In the Professional Series version, doubling is available on hard totals of 9, 10 or 11; you then receive one card and stand.
In the low-limit edition pictured, blackjack pays 1:1 and the dealer wins tied hands except tied blackjacks. Those rules are the trade-off for seeing both dealer cards from the start.
Pontoon Professional Series Low Limit
Pontoon goes the other way: both dealer cards are face down. The dealer sticks on a hard 17 and twists on a soft 17. A five-card trick, also called a Charlie, is a five-card hand totalling 21 or less and ranks second only to a Pontoon.
Those special hand rankings are the attraction here. A five-card 18 can have a different status from a two-card 18, so Pontoon deserves its own approach rather than an ordinary blackjack chart.
NetEnt's newer BlackJack, released in 2022, is a separate six-deck, three-hand game with a published 99.59% RTP. Its provider listing starts at €1, so the 10p figures for the older low-limit editions should not be transferred to that release.
2. Relax Gaming and Felt Blackjack 6in1

Blackjack 6in1 is made by Felt Gaming and distributed through Relax Gaming. It combines a conventional blackjack hand with six optional side bets. Felt also offers individual blackjack games built around these side bets; they are still blackjack games with an extra wager, rather than six ways to play a complete hand for one shared stake.
| Side bet | What produces a win? |
|---|---|
| Perfect Pairs | Your first two cards form a pair of the same face value. |
| 21+3 | Your first two cards and the dealer's upcard make a qualifying three-card poker hand. |
| Lucky Lucky | Those three cards total 19, 20 or 21. |
| Lucky Ladies | Your first two cards total 20, or qualify through the Queen combinations in Felt's paytable. |
| Suit'em Up | Your first two cards have the same suit. |
| Buster Blackjack | The dealer busts; more cards in the bust hand bring a larger payout. |
The main game's published RTP is 99.63%; each side bet has its own return. The 10p low-limit versions are useful for trying the format, and the optional bets can be left empty when you only want the main hand. A 10p main bet plus six 10p side bets is a 70p opening stake.
Lucky Lucky and Lucky Ladies are different bets: the first uses three cards, including the dealer's upcard; the second is based on your opening two. Our 21+3 blackjack guide explains the poker-style side bet in more detail.
3. Playtech Low Stakes Blackjack

Playtech has a broad range of small-stakes tables. Genting's Blackjack Link is listed from 10p, while Betfred carries several of the familiar Premium, Perfect and Surrender games. The individual formats are worth distinguishing:
- Blackjack 21 Duel: all hands totalling 21 have the same value, whether they contain two cards or more. Its 2UP side bet looks for a pair or three of a kind among the first three cards used for the bet.
- Perfect Blackjack: adds a Perfect Pair side game to the main blackjack hand.
- Premium Multihand: allows up to five hands in a round. At 10p per hand, filling all five positions makes the opening stake 50p.
- Surrender Blackjack: offers late surrender after the dealer has checked for blackjack. Surrender ends your hand and returns half of its original stake.
- Blackjack Pro: another of Playtech's established blackjack variants, separate from the Premium and Perfect titles.
- Peek Rule 6 Deck: identifies a six-deck game in which the dealer checks for blackjack before the player's further decisions when the appropriate upcard is showing.
- Premium Blackjack: the familiar digital table format, with a separate Single Hand title also listed at Betfred.
For a small starting bet, the single-hand and multihand distinction is particularly useful: the minimum applies to each position you activate. You can play just one position on a multihand table.

4. 1X2gaming Blackjack Player's Choice

Player's Choice keeps the aim of beating the dealer without going over 21, but adds a selection stage before the usual hit-or-stand decisions. Its low-stakes version starts at £0.10.
Five two-card hands are dealt face down. You choose one and reveal its top card. You can keep that hand or discard it and choose a replacement from the four remaining hands; the replacement is then yours. Next, you select the dealer's hand from those left on the table.
You now play out the hand by hitting or standing. The pictured version pays 1:1 for blackjack, and a tied hand loses half its stake. It does not offer splitting, doubling, insurance or surrender. The interest is in using the information from the selection stage, rather than managing several conventional blackjack hands at once.
How to Get Started With Low Bet Blackjack
A minimum deposit and a minimum blackjack bet are different amounts. A casino can require £10 to fund an account while offering a game at 10p a hand. Genting and Betfred are both listed with £10 minimum deposits in our casino comparison.
- Free play: open one of our free blackjack demos and use virtual chips. There is no cash stake or cash withdrawal in demo mode.
- A £5 or £10 deposit: these smaller deposits are available at UK casinos. Our £5 deposit casino guide covers the first option; a £10 balance is equal to 100 opening bets of 10p.
- A £25 deposit: this gives you 250 units at 10p, 50 at 50p or 25 at £1. You do not need a high minimum table simply because you deposited more.
- A £50–£100 deposit: the same 10p game gives you 500–1,000 opening betting units. The larger balance provides more units; it does not change the odds of the next hand or make a previous loss easier to win back.
To place a small bet, select the game's lowest chip, put it on one main-hand position and deal. Side-bet circles are separate. The balance-to-stake figures above count opening bets, rather than predicting how many hands a session will last, because wins, pushes, splits and doubles all affect the balance differently.
What Do 10p, 20p, 50p and £1 Blackjack Bets Pay?
| Opening bet | Ordinary win profit | Blackjack profit at 3:2 | Total after one split or full double |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10p | 10p | 15p | 20p |
| 20p | 20p | 30p | 40p |
| 50p | 50p | 75p | £1 |
| £1 | £1 | £1.50 | £2 |
The profit columns exclude your returned stake. A winning 10p natural therefore returns 25p in total on a 3:2 table. A split or double uses additional money: splitting a 10p pair makes two 10p hands, and doubling both of those hands would bring the total to 40p where that move is allowed.
For the decisions themselves, our blackjack strategy chart and guide to splitting pairs apply just as well to small stakes as to larger ones under the same rules.
Low Stakes Blackjack vs Free Blackjack
Both give you a way to play without committing a large amount to each hand. Their main difference is whether the chips have cash value.
| Feature | Low stakes blackjack | Free blackjack |
|---|---|---|
| Stake | Real money, including 10p, 50p or £1 on qualifying tables | Virtual credits |
| Winnings | Cash winnings can be withdrawn | Demo winnings have no cash value |
| Main appeal | The real-money game at a small stake | Trying rules, controls and different decisions without depositing |
| Trade-off | Each losing hand costs the amount staked | No cash return from a winning hand or session |
A demo is useful when switching from classic blackjack to something like Double Exposure or Pontoon. Small cash stakes suit a session where you already know the format and want wins and losses to have a modest monetary value.
Digital blackjack uses computer-generated deals and usually offers the smallest bets. Live blackjack uses a streamed dealer and table-specific minimums. A virtual multiplayer table, such as Betfred £1 Blackjack, is a third presentation: several players can share the table without a human dealer dealing the cards.

Best Bonuses for Low Stakes Blackjack
The useful bonus is one that applies to the blackjack game you want to play. A large slots welcome package can have no blackjack value at all. Genting's advertised deposit bonus, for example, counts slots towards its wagering requirement.
Welcome Bonuses
A deposit match adds a percentage of your first deposit to a bonus balance. Match rates can range from 10% to 500%, but the percentage alone says little about its value for blackjack: the eligible games and cashout terms determine what you can do with it. A 100% match on £10 would add £10 in bonus funds if blackjack is included.
Blackjack and Table-Game Bonuses
Blackjack-specific offers, table-game promotions and all-game bonuses can include bonus chips, matched funds or cashback. A fixed chip offer is particularly easy to compare with a small table minimum.
Betfred's Live Casino welcome offer: new Live Casino customers receive £5 in Golden Chips after opting in and staking £10 within seven days. An eligible debit-card deposit is required. Accept the chips within three days and use them within seven days of acceptance.
Choose 50 × 10p, 10 × 50p or 5 × £1 chips for eligible live blackjack. Table minimums still apply, with up to ten chips per round. The chip stake is not returned; winnings have no further wagering requirement and become available after all chips are used. Payment-method and game exclusions apply.
Sticky Bonuses
A sticky bonus is playable bonus money whose original value cannot be withdrawn. It can be issued as a welcome, no-deposit or reload offer; free-spin winnings can also enter a bonus balance with this treatment. The rules determine which winnings can be cashed out. Betfred's Golden Chips are an example: the promotional stake is non-cashable, while eligible winnings are cashable.
Cashable Bonuses
A cashable bonus can become withdrawable along with its eligible winnings after the stated conditions are completed. In Great Britain, bonus-fund wagering requirements are capped at 10 times under the rules that took effect on 19 January 2026. Blackjack eligibility remains a separate part of the offer: a 10x slots bonus is still a slots bonus.
3 Other Low Stakes Games to Enjoy
- Low stakes slots: a different pace from blackjack, with small total bets per spin and a choice of reel layouts and bonus features.
- Low stakes baccarat: small-stakes games from NetEnt, Microgaming and Playtech include low-limit editions, with some starting at 10p. You choose Player, Banker or Tie and the drawing rules settle the hands.
- Low stakes poker: micro-stakes cash tables and small-buy-in tournaments let you play against other people for smaller amounts. Casino poker and video poker are different formats, played against the house rather than a table of opponents.

Low Stakes Blackjack FAQs
Answers about 10p and £1 blackjack, deposits, payouts, side bets and bonuses.
What is the lowest bet in blackjack?
10p is an available minimum on digital blackjack games. Genting lists Blackjack Basic and Blackjack Link at £0.10 per hand. That is the opening main-hand stake; side bets, additional hands, splits and doubles add to the total.
How do you play low stakes in blackjack?
Open a low-limit blackjack game, choose the smallest chip and place it on one main-hand position. Leave optional side bets empty if you only want to play that hand. You then use the game's normal hit, stand, split and double controls.
Can low stakes blackjack be profitable?
You can finish a low-stakes session in profit, just as you can at a larger stake. The amount you bet does not remove the house edge. Figures such as 1%, 2% or 3% of players winning do not give the probability of winning a hand or finishing a particular session ahead; those are different measures. The rules and your playing decisions determine the return of the game.
Which UK casinos have low stakes blackjack?
Genting lists Blackjack Basic and Blackjack Link from 10p. Betfred offers a named £1 Blackjack virtual table and also lists Playtech games including Premium Blackjack, All Bets Blackjack, Perfect Blackjack and Blackjack Surrender. Each title has its own minimum.
Can I play blackjack for 20p or 50p?
Yes, where the game's chip denominations and betting increments allow it. A table with a 10p minimum can commonly accommodate a 20p or 50p main bet. A 3:2 blackjack pays 30p profit on 20p and 75p profit on 50p, plus your original stake.
Is a 10p minimum bet the same as a 10p minimum deposit?
No. The minimum deposit funds your casino account; the minimum bet is what you place on an individual hand. A casino can require a £10 deposit and still offer 10p blackjack. A £10 balance equals 100 opening 10p betting units, before results or additional bets.
Can I play live blackjack for 10p?
A 10p digital blackjack listing does not establish a 10p live-dealer table. Live games have their own minimums, and promotional chips can have smaller denominations than the table's required total bet. The confirmed 10p examples in this guide are digital games.
Do I need to place side bets in low stakes blackjack?
No. The side bets described here are optional and have separate stakes and payouts. For example, a 10p main hand plus a 10p Perfect Pairs bet costs 20p for the initial deal. You can play the main hand without adding the side bet.
Does a 10p blackjack game still pay 3:2?
It can. Blackjack Basic and the Classic Low Limit rules described in this guide use a 3:2 natural payout. A winning 10p natural makes 15p profit and returns 25p including the stake. The payout is a rule of the particular game, rather than a consequence of playing for 10p.
How much does splitting or doubling a 10p hand cost?
A full double adds 10p, making the total stake 20p. Splitting also adds 10p and creates two hands staked at 10p each. If doubling after splitting is allowed and you double both hands, the total becomes 40p. Further splits and side bets are additional.
Can I use a casino welcome bonus on blackjack?
Only if the offer includes the particular blackjack game. A slots-only bonus does not become a blackjack bonus because both games are in the same casino. Betfred's separate Live Casino welcome offer includes Golden Chips for eligible live blackjack, with its own qualifying stakes, expiry periods and payment exclusions.
Can I play low stakes blackjack on mobile or for free?
Many digital blackjack games run in a mobile browser, and Blackjack Basic is listed for desktop, tablet and mobile. Free blackjack demos use virtual credits and cannot pay cash winnings. Our free blackjack collection lets you compare available formats before choosing a real-money game.
