Yako Casino

Last Updated on June 1, 2026

Update: Yako Casino closed its doors on 30 September 2025 and is no longer available to UK players. This review is now kept as a historical look at what Yako offered when it was still active. If you are looking for somewhere to play today, choose a current option from our UK online casino list.

Yako Casino overview

We couldn’t find a reason why this casino was called Yako Casino. (There’s a whole area of internet marketing dedicated to making up new words because all the obvious URLs are taken. Nice work if you can get it!) But hidden in the About page we found this!

“Did you know that “Yako” means “Your” in Swahili? YakoCasino literally means YOURCasino!”

So there you go, a Swahili word – and a story about eating homemade mozzarella.

You may even have heard of Yako via the news, because the site was home to a lovely big win, with a £42,051.92 prize coming off a single 40p bet (a 105,129.8 times win multiplier). We tell you what game it was at the end of this historical Yako Casino review – stick around.

We can tell you what lay behind Yako, which was a major casino operating company called L&L Europe Limited. The company – like a huge slice of the European online casino industry – sits on the sunny, small, and relatively lightly regulated island of Malta.

At the time of this review, we made L&L the owners and operators of 9 casino sites.

They should have known what they were doing then!

Yako was very much in the bright-and-breezy mode, and very obviously designed for mobile users, with its big game tiles and mobile-friendly portrait look. Everything had an infinite scroll.

The signature colour was purple, with lots of bright yellows used as font colours. It was probably not as clashing as that sounds – pretty tasteful really.

Against that backdrop were loads and loads of games. There wasn’t a lot of time wasted on frills, extras, or characters; this was a site that put the games front and centre. And there were loads and loads of them, including a live casino with familiar titles, plus a huge slew of slots.

The company themselves said they had gone for a “balanced” set of games.

There was also quite a bit of information about site safety, customer service, and big bonuses, none of which was going to put off any online casino users that we knew.

But even then, there were thousands of sites out there fighting over your gambling pound. You had the choice, you had the power – but only if you used it – so was Yako, “your casino”, worth checking out in its day?

Let’s have a look.

Yako Casino Pros and Cons

When we find the perfect site we’ll just write it on a page and shut this site down.

For the moment we don’t have to worry too much, as everyone makes a mistake or two, and there are so many games and styles of games that no-one is going to cover everything.

So here is the good and the bad (and maybe the ugly) of Yako Casino.

Pros

1 – Yako Casino Was Legal and Licensed

If you play at a site that isn’t licensed then you are looking for trouble. The vast majority of the online gambling world is completely legitimate. But the sector is not immune to the same scams and the like as any other business and as you’re carrying out online transactions you need to know that you can use a site safely.

Licensing is the first step in any checks you make on a site. When Yako Casino was active, it operated under L&L Europe Limited. However, Yako closed its doors on 30 September 2025, so this section should now be read historically rather than as a current licence check.

The site showed every sign of being legitimate and fair during the period covered by this review, but it is no longer a current option for UK players.

2 – Yako Casino Had Tons of Games

Once you knew a site was safe, the next question was whether you could play the sort of games that you liked.

We’d have been surprised if there were any online slots or casino fans out there who couldn’t find something that they liked at this enormous site.

We checked an online audit site that we trust and they told us that the site had nearly 900 slots.

And they were from good quality providers too, with NetEnt, Play n GO, Microgaming, Blueprint Gaming, and Evolution Gaming among the top providers.

3 – Yako Casino Had a Huge Live Casino

If you know your online games you’ll have noted two of those providers as the major suppliers of live casino games.

Evolution Gaming and NetEnt made some of the most popular and visible live casino games, and they supplied Yako Casino, which had a great selection of their games, which we’ll go into in more detail later on.

All you need to know now is that the Yako Casino timetable was full of choices to play familiar favourites and less common casino games for real cash with live dealers.

4 – Yako Casino Was Fun and Friendly

Forget about the homemade mozzarella for the moment, and the Swahili translation, Yako Casino was easy to understand, friendly, easy on the eye and loads of fun!

Some sites go for an ultra-technical look, others have a theme they go with (space themes are popular for example), but Yako just delivered a bright site that was really easy to use and really easy to find your way around.

We couldn’t find any fault with that.

Cons

OK, so nobody’s perfect…

1 – The White Label Issue

L&L had designed and run a load of casino sites. They made a success of it. And that tended to mean that they went with what worked. That also meant that you knew you were at a family of sites when you arrived at an L&L casino. That was no issue if you’d never used an L&L site, but if you’d been around the block a bit this site might have felt a little safe and familiar to you.

Yako Casino Games and Software

The games are the heart of any casino. Most sites put the most focus on their slots, but players are looking for more variety than that and we expect now to see casino games and live casino games at least.

What did Yako Casino have for us?

Slots

Yako Casino previewed its games with big tiles, and slot games were listed in a number of ways.

First, we had the most popular games, across all styles of games.

These included on our visit: Playboy Fortunes, Gold Volcano, Sweet Success Megaways, Honey Rush, and Win a Beest.

Yako Casino also hosted Slingo games. These were a hybrid of bingo and slots that were really taking off at the time. Their top Slingo titles were:

Slingo Deal or No Deal, Titans Treasure, Slingo Berserk, Slingo Cascade, and Slingo Reveal.

The site also held tournaments for players (which we’ll cover in our bonuses section), and players could play: Beauty Fairy, Fairy Queen, Finn’s Golden Tavern, Fortress Charge, and Gemix.

New releases cuts across all styles of game, and the new slots on our visit were:

Fortune Girl, Revolution Patriot’s Fortune, Beat the Beast – Cerberus’ Inferno, Immortal Glory, and Mistress of Egypt.

Next up, Yako offered its own selection of titles. Who knows how these selections were made, but we assumed that they wanted players to play these games for commercial reasons of some sort. On our visit, this selection opened with:

Twin Spin, Wild Frames, Twisted Sister, Tome of Madness, and Captain Venture.

Video Slots are listed as a separate category, and the top games are: Jingle Spins, Sweet Alchemy, Montezuma Megaways, Tiki Mania, and Fortune Girl.

Slots gave us: Ted Pub Slot, Jackpot 6000, Chronos Joker, Grand Spinn, and Action Bank Plus.

The jackpot slots listed – all with their prize total shown – are: Atlantean Treasures Mega Moolah, Mega Moolah, Mega Moolah Isis, Hall of Gods, and Arabian Nights.

The site also lists some “other games”, which include:

Crown and Anchor, Electro Bingo, Enchanted Wood, Four by Four, and Hand to Hand Combat.

The site listed many of its gaming partners, including SG Gaming, Novomatic, Bally, ELK Studios, Just for the Win, Blueprint Gaming, High5Games, Microgaming, Slingshot, Barcrest, NetEnt, Amatic Industries, Big Time Gaming, Thunderkick, and IGT.

Roulette

There was a good selection of table games at Yako Casino, including, of course, the world’s favourite casino game.

These games were simulators, and players could also find live roulette games at Yako Casino, which we’ll go into later.

We found 32 table games, including these great roulette titles:

Key Bet Roulette, European Roulette, Roulette 100 to 1, 20p Roulette, and American Roulette. In total there were 10 roulette simulators.

Blackjack

Blackjack is top the charts when it comes to table card games.

At Yako Casino, players could play:

Vegas Downtown Blackjack, Classic Blackjack, First Person blackjack, Blackjack Classic, and Blackjack Blazing 7s. In total we found 11 blackjack variants.

Table Games

Players could also play baccarat, dealer poker games like three card poker and let it ride, hold’em and more at Yako Casino.

Pai Gow Poker and Dream Catcher (the wheel game) were also available as one-player simulators.

Video Poker

Video poker is an underrated game. You can actually enjoy some of the best return to player figures in the casino on video poker games, and they aren’t a massive hit in Vegas for no reason.

Among the titles on offer at Yako Casino were:

Aces and Eights, Aces and Faces, All Aces Poker, All American and Bonus Deuces Wild.

Lottery

Players could also bet on lotteries at Yako, including the UK draws and Irish lotto.

Yako Casino Bonuses

Yako Casino put quite a lot of emphasis on its bonuses. A bonus is offered at almost every casino website in the world. In all honesty, while there is a lot of competition to make these bonuses appear the best, the reality is that most are offering something fairly similar both in terms of their headline offer, and what a player can actually expect to cash in on after all the restrictions are taken into account.

Let’s have a look at the Yako Casino offering, which majored on a lifetime guarantee of cashback.

Yako Casino Welcome Offer

A welcome offer will always look very good.

The eye-catching headline offer at Yako Casino was a 100% bonus up to £99.

That was a fairly typical offer, but it came with restrictions.

Namely:

A wagering requirement of 40 times the bonus. This meant that for every £10 a player was given in bonus funds, they had to wager at the site 40-times that amount of their own money.

That meant if you deposited £10 and earned a £10 bonus, you would need to play with £400 of your own money before you could unlock the bonus and withdraw any money won by playing slots with it.

Yako said: “That may sound like a lot, but you’d be surprised how fast that goes.” Yeah! No kidding.

In fact, this was relatively generous for that period, as some wagering requirements demanded that players wager a multiple of the amount deposited and the bonus combined.

This wagering requirement and a 30-day time limit on the bonus applied to all bonuses at Yako unless otherwise specified.

Ongoing Promotions at Yako Casino

There were a series of ongoing promos at Yako Casino, including:

The Bonus Bonanza, which was a series of deposit bonuses announced at random.

Yako Casino Free Spins

Everyone loves free spins, and Free Spins Galore were giveaways announced by the site from time to time.

The site said that players would receive bonus spins from time to time. Players were told to check their emails, as some Yako no deposit bonus offers might be included too!

Cash Back at Yako

There was 10% cashback advertised as a new customer offer at Yako at the time of review. However, we weren’t able to find many details of the offer, though we assumed it applied as it was scrolling across the top of the website.

Loyalty Scheme

There was no obvious loyalty scheme at Yako Casino.

Many casinos have VIP Schemes that are not advertised to players. They are open by invitation to players who spend a lot of money at a site.

The only way to find out if you were eligible for the Yako Casino VIP club was by playing there.

Yako Live Casino

The live casino is the latest innovation for online casino players. Yes, all that technology, and what players want is an exact replica of what they would receive if they walked off the street into a real-world casino.

Perhaps this sort of streaming service will get even more popular in the time of COVID as we’ve seen everything from therapy to theatre to sports to sex work go online only!

We think there are a couple of issues with live casino games that we ask our players to consider.

Because the games are played live there is no real opportunity to check out games or use a demo mode. It is a good idea to know what you’re doing before you start playing live casino games. If you’re a member of a site and have verified your age, you can play demo versions of the same games in their simulation version.

Or you can read one of our game guides!

The other issue is player safety. You need to make decisions around your gambling that are informed first and foremost by what is healthy for you and what you can afford. Live games bring in a social element and there’s a possibility that this might override your good intentions. Don’t base your decisions on how you feel about the stuff you’re playing when it comes to Live casino games. (And always treat live casino staff with the respect and courtesy that you would expect.)

At Yako Casino, players could play these games in the live casino. Please remember that live casino games run to a schedule, so not all games are available at all times, and you may not be able to get a seat at the game you want to play.

Live Roulette

Live Roulette Rapid, Low Roulette, Classic Live Roulette, Live Roulette, VIP Roulette Live, Live Roulette Silver, Classic Auto Roulette, Rapid Auto Roulette, and VIP Auto Roulette.

Live Blackjack

Blackjack Crystal, Live Blackjack Blackjack Bronze, Live Blackjack Emerald, Blackjack White Gold, Blackjack Gold, Blackjack Black Gold, Live Blackjack Quartz, Live Blackjack Ruby, Live Blackjack Platinum, Blackjack Silver, Live Blackjack High, Blitz Blackjack, Live Blackjack Blitz Silver, Live Blackjack Blitz VIP, Live Blackjack Green, Live Blackjack Low.

These games suggested there was a VIP club at Yako Casino.

Yako Mobile Casino and App

Yako Casino had a responsive website rather than an app.

Apps offer some advantages to browser access on a mobile: they’re very quick and easy to use, there’s no more convenient way to get at your casino games. But not all apps are equal, some come with lots of extra content, others are just a link.

And Yako’s site means you’re not tied to the site by a piece of software on your homepage. Most new games come with mobile versions, so a site should be as good as all those games.

Banking

When Yako was active, players needed to get money into their account to trigger all those lovely bonuses. And they needed somewhere for Yako Casino to pay all those lovely winnings!

Yako Casino allowed players to use debit cards, online wallets, vouchers and bank transfers.

The minimum payment was £10 or £30 by bank transfer. Yako processed payments instantly.

Deposits were limited by method, and players could also set their own limits.

Minimum withdrawals were £10. Most players had to prove their ID and age before withdrawals were allowed. Players could be asked to send an image of the front and back of their debit card.

Withdrawal limits were: Visa £5,000.00; Skrill £25,000.00; Neteller £25,000.00. There were no limits on bank transfers, and no payments could be made to MasterCard.

Players had to request withdrawals to the payment method they used to make deposits.

There were longer time limits for some very large payments.

Yako accepted: Visa, Verified by Visa, MasterCard SecureCode, Zimpler, Skrill Moneybookers, Neteller, PassNGo (Visa), Paysafecard, Bank Transfers, Interac Online, ecoPayz, Interac e-transfer, Sofort, Trustly, and PayPal.

Customer Support

Hopefully, all you’d ever have needed customer support for was to send a thank you letter for a huge win you’d just been paid.

In the event players needed it for some other reason too, this is what they could do:

  • Email: support@yakocasino.com,
  • Chat online.
  • Or call +356 2034 1662.

The Final Verdict

There was nothing really to dislike about Yako Casino when it was active. It was very much what it looked like: a fairly simple casino site with a load of games.

That was the main deal. This wasn’t a super sophisticated or stylish site. The design was quite rudimentary by some standards (though everything worked very well), but Yako had packed in the games.

In every area: slots, video poker, Slingo, casino games, live casino games, even lotteries, there was a big, long list of games to return to or try out for the first time.

So, that was the priority at this site: playing your favourite games.

At the time of review, we had no doubt that players could do so safely. Yako Casino was licensed in multiple jurisdictions, not just the UK, and was a member of the industry bodies you would expect. It had good customer support options too and all the safe gambling links were in place – don’t be shy about using those tools wherever you play.

If we were looking for things to complain about we would have had to mention the look, which might not have worked for everyone, and some of the written content was a bit inelegant. L&L sites were everywhere, so you’d likely get that sense of déjà vu if you’d played around much.

But for functionality and games, Yako Casino was strong in its day.

And if you wanted to know where that big win from the start of our review came from, it was Lil Devil by Big Time Gaming. Sadly, Yako Casino is now closed, so UK players will need to look elsewhere for their next casino stop.
